Some years we feel like putting a lot of time and effort into our costumes and really going all out, and others we really just want an easy costume idea that is not going to take long but still look great. If an easy costume idea is what you want, you are really going to enjoy the ideas discussed here, which will take no time at all and make dressing up for Halloween as easy as pie for you.

Cat

The cat Halloween costume is probably one of the easiest ever. All you need to dress up like a cat is an all black outfit, or whatever color of cat you would like to be, and then draw some whiskers and a nose onto your face. It will literally take you about five minutes, and you will be ready and set to head out the door whether you are going trick or treating or out for a Halloween party.

Ghost

Another easy costume idea that you may be interested in is the ghost. If you are really lazy, or maybe you are making a costume for your child and just want something that is going to be simple, for instance if they are younger and you dont want a whole bunch of ties and buttons everywhere, the ghost is a great choice.

For this easy costume idea, all you need to do is use an old white sheet. Cut out two holes in the top for eyes before putting it on the child of course, so that they can see out of it and will not be running into walls. If the sheet is small enough you will not have to worry about cutting out holes for the arms, otherwise you may want to do this so they have a way to hold their candy bag.

Clown

A clown is another great option for an easy costume idea. When you are lacking for time, just pick out some bright colored clothes that are too large for the child, like your old clothes from the 80s, and you can even tie die them if you are brave enough. Tack some pom-poms onto the front of the shirt area and then add a cheap, wig and hat, and do some makeup.

Any easy costume idea like this would be great, and especially if you have more than one child, time is of the essence so you definitely dont want things to be too complicated.
